Rescue

Last night I went out into the backyard and found my landlord's cat attacking a bird! Now if any of you know me I couldn't let the bird die ( hippie ) so I scooped it up in a towel and put it into a cardboard box. Pita (the cat) had torn a bunch of its feathers out but there wasn't any blood- so I felt good about that. Since it was already 8:30 I had to board the mourning dove for the night. I found a plastic container and but some branches and torn up newspaper in it. She didn't make a noise all night. I had to open this morning and when I got home she was still chillen out.

I took her to the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley and she will be very well taken care of. Next week I will call to hear if her feathers will grow back and if she will be released.http://www.wcsv.org/
